Sinergie undertook the entire extraordinary renovation of the Trullo Atena, an architectural jewel dating back to the late 1700s, which has been restored to its former glory thanks to a careful restoration project that respects its history.
At the heart of the project was the restoration and consolidation of the load-bearing walls and cones, a feat made possible by the expert work of the “Trullo Masters”. The decision to leave the stone visible on the inside has enhanced the beauty and uniqueness of the construction of the cones, with their concentric rings culminating in a striking spiral to close the cone. Inside, stone is also used to create storage areas and to conceal elements such as air conditioning.
The original threshing floor, with its circular base, has been recovered and transformed into an open-air living area, with a kitchen in masonry and pastel and a large central table in the same material. An in-ground swimming pool has also been created, surrounded by Apulian stone paving that blends in harmoniously with the surrounding landscape.
An elegant stone arch serves as the entrance from the car park and invites guests to enter the outdoor area. Stone paths and pebbled areas, as well as the car park itself, complete the picture, giving Trullo Atena an aura of rustic and refined charm.
The renovation of Sinergie is a tribute to the craftsmanship of the local master Trullai and to the timeless charm of traditional Apulian architecture, which comes to the fore in this project, making these spaces luxurious and welcoming.
